Huawei: Redefining Elegance in Laptops – and Saying Goodbye to Windows?

Innovative laptop design, premium quality, and competitive pricing – Huawei has it all. In fact, their laptops put Apple’s design team to shame. While other Windows PC manufacturers focus on cutting corners to reduce costs, Huawei remains committed to providing elegance in every aspect.

However, amidst all the praise and success, Huawei has been facing a major roadblock – the xenophobic attacks by Donald Trump. With uncertainty looming over access to Windows and proper Android with Google apps, consumers have reasons to be worried.

But Huawei is not one to stay dependent on the actions of one country. As we saw with HarmonyOS, they have already started working towards an Android alternative. And now, they are taking things a step further by shifting their focus to their laptop business.

In a bold move, Huawei has announced its partnership with deepin, one of the best Linux distributions developed in their home country of China. This marks a major shift towards a future where Huawei laptops are not dependent on Microsoft or Windows 10.

Huawei’s laptops, including the Huawei MateBook 13, MateBook 14, and MateBook X Pro, will now come with deepin pre-installed instead of Windows 10. And the best part? These Linux versions are more affordable than their Windows counterparts.

But does this mean that Huawei will completely ditch Windows? Not necessarily, as having options is always a good thing. However, it is crucial for companies operating outside of the USA, not just China, to have a backup plan in case American technology is restricted. As long as there is a possibility of a foreign company being ruined by arbitrary decisions, it is important to have alternatives ready.

So, would you consider buying a Huawei laptop with Linux pre-installed in the USA? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
